Bad
One of the hidden gems in this city that was an absolute delight to explore. Recommended route - head from West/North, switch on Google Maps and take the route it shows.
You'll end up in a park eventually, cross the gate and keep walking towards the location. In the middle, there'll be a lake view point bridge, beaut point for photos. Move on outside, cross the fence and enter Satpula via the main gate. It's accessible to all and you can get great clicks from the bastion's top and the dam bridge itself.
Bad person like theifs etc roaming around their
Heritage monument
Satpula is a historic structure located in Delhi, India. It's an ancient dam built during the reign of Sultan Muhammad bin Tughlaq in the 14th century. Here's a brief description:
Satpula, also known as the 'Seven Arches Bridge,' is a remarkable historical monument in Delhi. This architectural marvel from the 14th century served as both a dam and a bridge during the reign of Sultan Muhammad bin Tughlaq. The structure features seven arched openings, providing a glimpse into the architectural prowess of that era. Satpula stands as a testament to Delhi's rich history and is a must-visit for history enthusiasts and architecture.
Satpula is a small dam forming a part of the city wall of Jahanpanah, the fourth ancient city of Delhi, opposite the Saket District Court. It was built by Mohammad bin Tughlaq (1325-51) to control stagnant water for irrigation. As the name suggests, it is a bridge with seven gates.
